Does shaving really make facial hair grow back darker and thicker?
As it has been said already no. Shaving cuts the hair below the skin, near the root which is naturally thicker. When this part of the hair appears through the skin, it is just the thicker part of the hair that would normally be at the bottom. As it grows out, it returns to its natural shape. The sun naturally fades the color of hair. When the hair becomes visible to you after shaving, you only see part that has not been fades by the elements and it may appear darker until it fades again. Shaving has no effect on the prominence of hair.Does shaving really make facial hair grow back darker and thicker?
No, shaving doesn't have any effect on your hair thickness. It's easy to think that it does, because shorter whiskers are stiffer than long hairs, so it seems like it's coarser as it grows back in. Also, if you shave fore a while, your hair follicles will continue to mature while your are cutting their output short, and when you let it grow back in again, it will be thicker than you remember it. But the shaving didn't cause that, it just made it more obvious.
I don't think it makes the actual hair darker but, if you shave in the same area excessively it will make that area darker. The thickness part..I just heard if you shave in an angle opposite of what your hair grows, you hair will grow back in a way that will make you hair appear thicker.
No, sorry that's just a myth. That stems from when one is young and just started growing face hair. They shave and oh look more than last time grew back, its magic. No, your just getting more hair because your becoming a man.
well i think thats a myth but the hair grows back a lot gaster the more you shave
