Your eyes can be so expressive without speaking.

Big wide eyes show excitement or surprise. Adding a frown or smile to wide eyes make it more specific.

Narrow eyes mean scrutiny or suspicion.

The mouth also says much. Open wide is surprise or shock.

closed tight means frustration or anger.

Eyebrows also can show feelings. Raising both eyebrows show a questioning look. How about blinking your eyes? Rapidly several times can mean surprise. A single wink shows compatibility or jovial attitude.

Various combinations of all of these merely add greater understanding to the basic intent.
Wide eyes= excited, awake

Drooping corners of mouth= Kinda sad

Creases between brows= concentrating, focused, might be upset.

Smile= Happy!
this is hard to explain
