Which should come first, shaving or a facial wash?

Should a guy shave first and put on a facial wash after, or put on a facial wash and then shave?Which should come first, shaving or a facial wash?

Facial wash first. It cleanses the face of dirt and oils and helps prepare the beard and face for shaving. It softens the beard somewhat to make the shave easier and closer.
The face wash should come first to open the pores for a closer shave.
